Picked up a Micro 9 today and shot about 175 rounds through it with no glitches. It has a Crimson Trace laser sight on it but the jury is in deliberation about that right now. I'll give it a try for awhile but I'm not too enamored with it. I tend to shoot a bit high with it but if I concentrate on the sights it does shoot to point of aim. I really like the pistol, as it has enough 1911 in it that I feel quite comfortable with the operation/function. I carried a 1911 in the Army for a number of years and have one in my nightstand so I'm very familiar with that style action. It may replace my S&W Shield as my carry gun because the weight and overall dimensions of the Kimber make it more concealable than the Shield.
At this point of time I'm really liking this pistol, the recoil is negligible and it fits my hand. No problem with the short grip but would like to have an 8 round mag if available for my pinky finger to rest on.
I was considering the Sig P968 but the trigger on the ones in the LGS weren't as good as the Kimber and I didn't like the ambidextrous safety. The safety rubbed against my right hand when I moved it from safe to fire and back again. The difference in price wasn't enough to sway me one way or another.
