Darn right that is a GREAT deal! I paid $100 more for my new SR45 at the LGS 3 years ago. The SR series are nice guns & reliable (I had an SR9 but gave it to my son).

Not a fan of the .40 but if I were looking for one the SR40, especially at that price, would make for a great choice.

I have an SR40c. Ruger engineers have tamed 40S&W recoil considerably, probably by magic. Reliable function, an accurate shooter. I've been carrying it awhile. The trigger is certainly usable; even that 'blasted' blade isn't a distraction.
