Im getting back into bowhunting and just got my bow and was wondering if yo do like gun sights and focus on the pin like a front sight or the target?

The pin. I use an Impact Archery 1 pin cosmic sight. I zero it in at 20 yards, then shoot the hell out of the bow in order to adjust for differant distance. I can take a deer at 40 yards with this set up.

Get your upper body tone back before you worry about anything else. As I'm sure you know, shooting any bow requires it to shoot well. Push the bow away as you pull the string. It's easier on your back and shoulders. You should be at full draw when the bow is at eye level. When your back and shoulders stop hurting, focus on the target for instinctive shooting.

I do it in steps.. Get the pin for the yardage in focus and then let it blur as i focus where i want on my target.. I can still see the pin (use tru glo pins) and see its centered where the arrow will be on the target.. So i know the arrow will hit where i want..

Thats what i have on my new Matthews. The guy who set it up hunts all out West . He said his is dead set at 30yds and out to 40 he is two inches either way. Mine has the slide where you can adjust for further.
