I think I just put my first "collector rifle" on layaway at Cabelas. It is a Brazilian Mauser, Model 1908. Here is the run down

I would have to guess overall it is between 75-90% condition.
7mm Mauser
98 Action
Bore is pitted but still has good rifling, from what I can tell the entire rifle is original.
A little surface rust on the action and dings on the stock.
Brazilian Crest on the reciever is intact.
NO import marks. (Obviously came to the US before 68)
All parts have matching numbers.
Action is smooth and tight.
Cleaning rod is included
No bayonet.

Looks aged, but very nice.

I want to get oppinions on how much you would pay for this rifle/how much is it worth. I'm not going to post how much I am paying for it right away. I want to get you're oppinions first. I think it is a good buy being in rather good condition considering its age. What does everyone else think? Sorry, no pics.

I'd say maybe $150. A local shop had some nominally nice but non matching ones at $200 with no takers. I'm holding out for a Mexican or Spanish 7mm Mauser though. Passed a nice 1893 Mauser at $150 stupidly like 5 years ago.

I just paid 265 for a Persian 1898 model mauser made by the Czech's. Excellent condition. Its made along the same pattern as the 1908. I used to own a Brazilian 1908, but sold it. Someone had polyurethaned the stock :b Bastards. It was otherwise in perfect condition too.
I wouldnt drop more then 200 for the condition you describe.
