45 long Colt 200 gr. RNFP in stock
Pro or cons on brazos bullets??

I've purchased 1 bag (668 count) of .358, 158 gr lswc coated, and about 10,000 9mm 125 gr lrn coated. I am happy with their product and their customer service.

have shot a few thousand of their bullets now, I"m very happy with their product and service. I really like that they have sample packs. I like to try diff. bullets without having to buy 500 of them

Questions 45 cal. 200 gr. Long Colt in my 1911
The high tech gold coating they use will it increase bullet diameter.?
I never shot coated bullet.
I use .453 in 200 gr. RNFP lead lubed bullets

Not enough to notice. The coating is very thin, as thin or thinner than plating. You should be ok with those on the 1911, or if you’re concerned they may be too large, order the coated ones in .452.

Stay safe.

I just ordered some .358 coated SWCs from them. I can't believe they were in stock.

Looking forward to trying them out even though I'm getting some stink eye from someone right now. :) She just doesn't understand. But I still love her!

Placed a order yesterday got a e mail today item is shipped.
45 ACP RNFP 200 gr.with high tek gold coated. 453 diameter
Will report back when the arrive never ordered from them I was surprised they were in stock

125g RN sized to .358 are accurate, but lead like crazy in my CZ SP-01 with a .3565 barrel.

If they are hard alloy (15-22 BHN), they either need to be 0.002" larger than actual groove diameter or they should be lightly tumble lubed with LLA (or coated). Hard alloys do NOT prevent leading and, in many cases, cause leading. Softer alloys can bump up in diameter from pressure, but the hard alloys can't do this unless very high pressure.
I used to order as-cast bullets (no lube, no sizing) and I would just lightly tumble lube in LLA and get great accuracy.

I've bought a bunch of 9mm bullets from them - likely north of 6 thousand so far. I have more purchases planned in different calibers. I like their bullets just fine.

Shot some in 44 mags and 45-70. Good to go. I like the fact they aren't super hard. No leading and great accuracy.

I've reloaded with Brazos 45acp 230gr RN and 9mm 125gr RN bullets. The 230 worked well but were consistently heavier by 1-3 grains over 230. The 9mm 125 bullets were problematic in 3 of my semi 9mm firearms. Their OGIVE is too fat plus they were also a tad heavier than advertised. Since then I've stopped using their bullets.

Crazy Horse---Thanks for the info---as long as they work well I am not too concerned about a few grains over 230. I will be shooting them in a revolver and have
shot even some 250-260 grainers so they should work.

Bullets came today no problems so far.
I did weight 10 rounds not bad at all
200 gr. FPRN 45 cal bullet .453 dia. average 202.6
I will load 25 rounds and test it on Saturday.
Gold hi tek coated

Well I did get to the indoor range yesterday to try Brazos bullets 45 ACP.
200 gr. Long Colt RNFP
3.6 gr. Bullseye powder
12 yards
One hole group

I hate to put a negative response for Brazos Bullets but. They lead the Heck out of my CZ 9mm. Tried different powders/crimp/etc. Spoke with them over the phone and must admit their customer service was good.

Loaded a few for 45acp but have not tested them yet. Other forums either live them or hate them. Seems no ones CZ’s like them.

I’ve used them both in 9mm 115gr in an XD and the 158gr SWC in 38 special. The 38s have been great, the 9’s do lead quite a bit. I measured mine out as .355- will need to go up for sure if I decide to try the 9mm again- live and learn on that one.

Edit- to clarify, I am actually planning to order some more 158s from Brazos soon.
