Okay, I admit it! I finally bought a Glock after all these years. I picked up a pre-ban, yes it still applies in New York State, Model 17 with two high caps for 400 dollars. There is no discernible wear on the firearm and it looks like it has never been used.

I know that I said I would never succumb to the Glock mania but I am a gun-a-holic. I have even started to look at Glock Talk. :what: She is coming to the range with me this week.

Congrats on your "new" Glock:) Whatever you do just don't drink the Kool-Aid;) Most of the Glock Talk members aren't fanaticals, they're radicals.

Their Motto: Glock is the best ---- the rest.

Congrats. I am sure you will enjoy it. I know I sure like my 21. Hey that reminds me, I was gonna go shooting this afternoon! :banghead:

Shame on you.
One usually leads to another and another,,,,
At least it did for me, I own three Glocks now and am contemplating buying a fourth.

I did the same thing recently – been shooting pistols for close to 40 years and never owned a Glock , went out and bought a G-30 just to try one and 700 rds later no complaints- works fine for me.

I'm with you bud. I've been everything but a Glocker. I carry an HK, but wanted to start shooting IPSC, IDPA, etc. and felt that the Glock 22 would be better. Took it out to the range today, and was satisfied. It wasn't as accurate as I expected. I took out my HK and it shot better (mental?) but I still liked it.

Finally broken down or

finally wised up? :D I like all of my firearms, but I must admit, Glock makes a fine pistol! I trust my life to it. Though, I do carry a back up. I usually carry a G17 and a 1911, or a G17 and an XD-45 ACP. Between 20 rounds of +P+ 9MM and 14 rounds of +P+ .45 ACP, I think I'm good and safe.

Congrats.

Ahhh the G17....you should be good for around 130,000 rounds. :D

I've been carrying a G19 with G17 mags for about ten years. Glock 9mms are IMO in the top 5 of fighting handguns. I've long been a believer in capacity (See my signature line) and when you can do 17+1 in a concealable package, I think you're far ahead of the pack.

Glocks are great weapons. Sure, they're not a purdy as the Sig or the H&K but Glocks do what they're supposed to do: go bang when you squeeze the trigger. My favorite gun to shoot is my G30 but it's my least favorite to carry because of the weight.

I have even started to look at Glock Talk
Me too, but ONLY the 'General Glocking' section; I just traded a stainless Springfield Milspec for a Glock 21. :D

If you're looking for Glock stuff like holsters, mag carriers, etc..., Glock Talk has a huge section of classifieds.

Love Glocks! Have a friend help you practice transition trigger by dry firing and having your friend cycle the slide. let the trigger up just enough to catch then firing again.
