Hey guys. The ejector on my 1911 commander has the rear mounting stud broken. In other words, the front stud is still in place allowing the gun to function rather normally although the ejector does wiggle. The rear mounting stud broke off and is stuck in its hole. How exactly can i remove it?

Thanks
Zach

I just finished one that had the rear post broken. I removed the retaining pin pulled the ejector out with vice clamped on ejector up-side-down pulled straight up and ejector was off. I was very lucky because I turned frame upside down and banged it on rubber pad on bench. Sha-Zam the stub was laying on the bench. Fitted new ejector reassembled clearenced to slide and test fired.
The one I had a couple of years ago wasn't so easy. I had to mill it out with one of those resharpened micro mills sold in batches of ten from the Chinese importers. That worked good accept I broke a couple and had to do set up again each time. That time the manufacturer, Rymes with Dolts didn't drill the hole as deep as the drawing says it should be. Deepened it and the rest was same as above.
