Hey guys.

Recently I was attempting to install an ATI AR-type stock on my mossberg 500. Long story short, I used an incorrect bold, overtightened it, it protruded into the receiver, and broke off part of the connector in the trigger assembly.

End result-- no safety.

Question is...I can order the connector from brownells for like 5 bucks. How hard is it to remove the broken one and install that one? Has anyone done it before? Is it impossibly for an average joe, and I should just buy a new assembly?

Thanks in advance.

I recently had the same problem with a pistol grip for the 500,
and found you in my seach. did you ind out anything?

Had another fellow ask the same thing in another forum a few months back. It's not an easy job (trigger work on a Mossy) but you can be talked through it. It's more of a "need three hands" project than impossible. Once you get it once, you'll be able to do it forever.

Order the part and post when you get it and we'll start you off.
