Oh Brownells,
Why do you hate me so?
Ordered in summer,
received in the snow!
Waited for parts,
needed for competition.
Finally got em,
and a screw I am missin'!
So now I wait.
For a fortnight or two.
Anticipating a package,
Its contents? A screw.
 
They are still getting over the move. Try being a gunsmith and needing parts from them to make a living.
 
Honestly if I can get it from midway I do, and its here in three days... If Brownell's is it then that's what it is unfortunately. But Yeesh, get with it!
 
I just got a package from them yesterday. Five days from order to in my hands including the weekend and I went with the cheapest shipping. But everything I ordered was "in stock". Makes an enormous difference.

I've never had a bad experience with Brownells or Midway, although Midway's recent shipping change has generally made shipping cheaper but slower using the UPS/USPS hybrid, but you can get you Saturday deliveries, although the old way you'd have likely had it on Thursday or Friday :)

That's funny because were both in Texas. I havent ordered anything out of stock either. But it usually takes a few days for them to even get it processed and shipped. For instance, If i order tuesday, I wont see a shipped email until thursday or friday. This REALLY REALLY grinds my gears.

They should be able to have it in the mail within hours, not days. If i order something from midway its never more than 24 hours before it hits the mail.

Weather can be a factor, the last USPS package I tracked seemed to be stuck in Dallas for two days -- it was electronics, not gun stuff.

Looking at the Email confirmations from by most recent Brownells order, the confirmation was in the afternoon shortly after I placed the order, and the shipping confirmation came the next morning.
 
I like Brownells and have been dealing with them for years but I'm a hobbyist and usually not in a hurry. Midway has been getting more of my business as of late though.

What I would LOVE to see them fix is their "search engine". Seems like it was designed by a drunk 16yr old gun hater. It has got to be one of the worst out there! I now find the paper catalog so I can put in the part #, otherwise it's a study in pain to fine the simplest thing.
