I got a big surprise today. My wife and I were at Cabelas in Buda, TX and they had a Browning 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine 45-70 for sale. It's a beauty and the perfect companion to my Winchester 1886 rifle.
While I was standing there drooling all over it and talking with the sales guy about anything I could think of so I didn't have to put it back on the rack, my wife walked up. The sales guy says to her "your husband wants a rifle". Her response will forever resound in my ears... "why don't you go ahead and put it on layaway." Huh? What? Did I hear that correctly? Um, okay!!! Needless to say, I know have an awesome rifle on layaway and an even more awesome wife by my side... Life is good!!!
