Can anyone help me determine the original configuration of a 1976 Japanese made Browning A-5, Light Twenty? By configuration I mean LOP, stock type, stock finish, barrel type (fixed choke or invector?), etc.

Serial number is 11XXXRT211 which is 11,000 serial number +, RT = 1976, 211 is light twenty.

Is there a source for such info? I have the latest reference book for FN Brownings but nothing on Japanese.

Thanks,
BBM

A-5 resources

I was shopping these guns last year or so and Browning themselves has pretty good records online. And you can always call the service number and someone at the service center can look that up for you. they were real helpful for me.

Good advice RL

I can maybe answer one or two though .

Walnut stock . Most medium to dark with an occasional light wood showing up . Urethane finish on the Japanese guns . They were all fixed choke at this time .
Light 20 would've had a black plastic Browning marked butt plate . So if it has a pad , it's been cut . Still could be the same LOP though .
The choke constriction is marked on the barrel . Probably something like * or **- or something similar .
