I am trying to help a friend that doesn't have a computer find a part for his Browning Buckmark. He needs the medallion that goes on the grip. According to Browning this gun was made in 1990. The medallion on it has the deer head and is gold in color. Everywhere that I know to look lists a medallion but sayd new style. The new style seems to be a dark color instead of gold. Does anyone know where he can get the original gold one?

The old style medallion had the letter "B" on it. Can you post a photo of your friend's remaining medallion? My guess is that it's like those currently available, but with some of the antiquing polished/worn off.
Regards,
Greg

I didn't know that. I just assumed it was the color that was different. I will see if I can get a picture next time I'm over there. It looks pretty much exactly the same as the "new style" one he ordered from Midway, except that the one from Midway is dark color almost like a really dark gold where his was just a gold color and not dark at all.

The 1st link to midway is for a 380 - It says "Browning Buck Mark Pistol, BDA 380".

The 2nd link shows an actual Buckmark 22.

Maybe thats the difference?

Here are the original grips off my 1990 BuckMark

Thanks guys. Looks like they must just be worn down or something. Now the next question is what's the best way to put the new medallions on? Should he just use super glue and glue it over the old glue? Or is there a better way?
