I do not think that the frame/grip are long enough for the extra length of the 38 Super.

Won't fit.

The HP was designed from the getgo as a 9mm platform.
(1.169" OAL cartridge length)

The .38 Super cartridge was designed for the 1911 Colt .45 ACP length gun.
(1.280" OAL cartridge length)

The FN/Browning Hi Power has only been manufactured in three calibers- 9mm, .30 Luger and .40S&W. The latter required a redesigned slide assembly.

If you have one in .40, I dont see why you couldnt have one in 357SIG.

+2 or 3 or 4 on the frame not being big enough to accomodate a 38 Super cartridge.

A 357 Sig conversion of a 40S&W High Power should be very feasible, though -- never heard of anyone doing one, however. A 45 GAP conversion might work as well, though that seems pretty close to heresy.

you might be able to have a barrel chambered for the longer case, use .38 Supercomp cases and short bullets, like the 140 gr. semiwadcutters that are made for the Colt Python ... awful lot of trouble just for an interesting exercise though
