I have a Browning Semi-Auto 22 that has a bad habit of jamming every 4th or 5th shot. It looks like the bullet comes out of the magazine too low and misses the chamber and subsequently gouges the bullet when the action closes. It is a fairly new Japanese made Browning. I have tried American Eagle and CCI Blazer. Same problem. When the problem happens with the Blazer ammo the bullet is sometimes completely bent out of the brass. Both types of ammo work consistently in my other .22's. I thouroughly clean the gun after every trip as the design seems to lend its self to fouling. I then lightly oil and grease the action.
Do other owners have this problem? I have only heard good things about these rifles and absolutely love mine for the accuracy and design. I only wish it went bang every time like my Marlin 39A.

I will try those ideas

I have a box of velocitators that i'll try. I just can't see that it's ammo related because it will fire 4 or 5 shots fine and then one will get caught up and jam. The mag spring idea does sound promising. I could easily sent the rifle to Browning, but who wants to do that!

Thanks
