I purchased a pair of Brunton Epoch 10.5x43 binoculars about 4 years ago at our annual Friends of NRA fund raiser and have used them (hard)ever since. Last year I hunted over 100 days in an arid, very dusty area.

I noticed that, in spite of careful cleaning, the objective lenses appeared to have fine scratches in the coating which was starting to affect the clarity, so, at the NRA annual meeting in St. Louis, I looked up Brunton and spoke with Mr. Al Dorn, Brunton's Regional Sales Mgr. He gave me a Brunton cleaning kit and advised me to try cleaning the lenses w/their cleaner; if still a problem, send them in under their unconditional warranty. While we were talking I was admiring the new camo Epoch model and asked if I could upgrade to the camo if necessary to send mine in. Mr Dorn said that would not be a problem.

The cleaning cleared up the right lens but not the left, so I called Mr. Dorn, who directed me to talk to Mr. Mark Uhl. Mr. Uhl gave me an RA# and I returned the binoculars.

Exactly two weeks later, I received a new pair of camo binoculars. It doesn't get any better than that! :D:D

Regards,
hps
