Do any of you guys have experience with Buffalo Arms co's blackpowder cartridges? I've been looking for some safe, blackpowder loaded cartridges for my 115 year old S&W Safety Hammerless. Most of what's available appears to be smokeless loaded but Buffalo Arms seems to have some loaded with BP (as my pistol would have originally used) and they claim they're safe for use in the antiques. Anyone have experience or thoughts on them?

They sell a wide variety of black powder cartridges that aren't easy to find anywhere else. They're a reputable company that sells many items catering to the black powder community. As long as you don't mind the price, I don't see how anyone could go wrong by ordering BP ammo from them.

I've used them but now load my own black powder loads. They worked well for me in my 45 Colt SAA as well as my rifle also in 45 Colt.

Yeah, my thinking was to buy a box or two and then start reloading it myself once I can get myself set up for it (I'm frankly long over due getting into the reloading game given my love of old firearms firing obscure cartridges). Thanks for the input, I just wanted to make sure the company had a good reputation before taking the plunge.

I have bought from them plenty of times. They are great to deal with and ship your stuff quick. Love their catalog
