Reading all these threads of revolving carbines and the like has me drooling, again. I've wanted a revolver with a shoulder stock for a long time, but I'm both notoriously cheap and a broke college student. So, I don't wanna pay for the revolver with the screw stud and a shoulder stock.
Has anyone tried to make their own setup? I have an 1851 Navy Sheriff and an 1858 Remington NMA. Of the two, I think it'd be a smidgeon easier to deal with the 1858, but as I think about it, I'm not so sure after all. I'd prefer it anyway, it has a longer barrel.
What I'm sort of envisioning is removing the normal wood handgrips and rigging something that'll bolt through the center of the grip frame to hold the shoulder stock on. Any thoughts?
