I am currently interested in the bull creek arms 97 trench shotgun conversion. I know they are not cheap but they look like the best trench conversion I’ve seen. Does anyone have any experience with them? Everything I’ve seen, they are excellent conversions but I’m curious if anyone here has had them done/ dealt with them. Also I’m curious how much they do? Like do they just add the heat shield and bayonet lug or do they do more like reblue the whole gun and other small repairs? I’m just curious as if I should spend the money on a 97 with a good finish on it or should I get a cheap one with poor finish (not rusted up of course) and have them reblue it?

Interesting.
All I know is what you say and what they say:
We buy decent used Winchester shotguns which are then totally torn down, cleaned, worn parts replaced, re-blued, reassembled and tested for proper function. Chambers are re-cut to correctly accomodate modern fold crimp plastic shot shells.

If you have an 1897 Winchester 12 Ga of your own, lead time is under 6 weeks. Generally $949 plus $45 return shipping IF YOUR WOOD IS USEABLE.. You can send it to us directly without going through an FFL and we can return it directly to you. Call Tom at 208-660-5135 for info regarding personal guns.

For $945 I would hope they did the same work to your gun as to one they picked up to resell.
But hey, ask HIM.

Note, UPS and Fedex will no longer ship guns for Americans. You can still mail a long gun if the postal clerk doesn't get hysterical.
