Bullet choice for 30-06 reduced load

I have been using Hornady 130 soft points in reduced loads for my wife's .308. Accuracy has been superb and it has done really well on mule deer. Whatever you choose, stay away from Barnes. They won't expand at lower velocities, contrary to what one of their tecs told me on the phone. Lost deer was the result.

170 gr. cast bullet sized to your chamber over 24-28 grs. RE-7 or 30 grs. H4895 with dacron filler.

I made some 30-06 with 125 SSTs and H4895 that was easy on the shoulder and pretty dang accurate as well (5 shots under an inch at 100 yards)

I did the same with IMR4064, can't remember the charge, good plinking loads.
