Anyone ever use any of these products? I'm thinking of trying the Rusthunter aerosol cleaner/lube/protectant product. Sounds kinda like Breakfree CLP, but with the claim that it leaves a barrier that protects against rust for up to ONE YEAR!

Sounds like a great thing for my "shot VERY rarely" guns, as well as for keeping my blued P3AT in good shape now that rainy crappy weather has settled in for the season....

How about the Rust Remover gel? I inherited an old pump-action .22 rifle that had been stored in damp conditions and has some rust damage.

I use their rust preventative in the baby wipe form and they work quite well.

Not hype.

Their Lubricant and Rust Blocker is a great oil for spraying into trigger groups, making an action feel nice and slick, etc. Just the right amount thicker and slicker than CLP. I also used it to remove ALL the rust from my 870 receiver, with a rag. Now it looks like new.

The Rusthunter stuff is a LOT thinner than CLP. Great preservative to wipe on a gun, either from the spray can or the baby wipes. I love the baby wipe things for the shotgun range or outdoor use.

I like CLP also. Sometimes you want a thinner lube or an all-in-one cleaner and lube for a quick cleanup. And I still use good ol' No 9, too.

But Bullfrog is great stuff; I definitely recommend it.

I used some rust remover on a handgun and it worked great. But it also removed the paint from the sight, so be careful.

Awesome- thanks for the feedback!

Wish I could buy it locally, ah well...

*goes off to make list of stuff to buy at online store to save on shipping costs* :D

I've had good results with Bullfrog products too. Even more impressive was a Bullfrog distributor I met at a gun show. He talked knowledgably about the products, and when I mentioned using one of them for a special purpose he telephoned Bullfrog for detailed information. A few days later he phoned me to check whether I was satisfied. I was and am.

Bullfrog what?
Well it ain't Ken. :neener:

Pretty sure it is not the Sunscreen Products from long dang time ago either.

Hang on <clicks BF link , peruses> I'm back . Looks like the same products made in the UK , and promoted by some of the gun shops over there. Different name, similar packaging, I forget which one...

i used it to clean/remove all the grease from an sks, even used it on the stock. seems to have worked great. will use again.
