What's everyones opinions on bullpup stocks? I'm thinkin of gettin one for my Marlin .22 just so it'd be lighter and more compact, making it much easier to carry. What do you guys think? Do they reduce accuracy? what do they do to recoil?

Not entirely sure what you men. If you are talking about the 'Muzzlelite' stock, it's more of a 'system' than a stock. You have to move the action back and the trigger forward, therefore you inevitably have some gizmo, usually a wire rod, that transfers the leverage of a secondary trigger back to the primary trigger. It ends up being mushy and sometimes dangerous. If you want a more compact gun than a Marlin 22 Carbine, please explain why? The only purpose I can see for these stocks it for the closet "Ninja" look. Closet not in the figurative sense but in the literal sense... it's only good for the closet. Not very useful at the range or in the field.

The only need that comes to mind where a more compact weapon MIGHT be needed would be in a snowmobile or four-wheeler survival gun or perhaps as a boat, motorcycle, or aircraft survival tool. If you have these needs, get a Takedown like the Marlin Pappose or Henry Survival rifle.

Hate 'em

I'm a lefty....

(Although I've thought an old Ithaca Model '37, jury rigged into a bullpup config would be cool)
