Went on a powder hunt today. Left NY and went just across the PA border to a new shooting supply store in the middle of nowhere. Was looking for a fast handgun powder consisting of any of the following: 700X, Red Dot, W231/HP38, or Bullseye. They didn't have any of the first 3, but lo and behold, they had Bullseye. Price was even cheaper than Widener's price ($17.99#), so I bought 5 pounds. This will now replace the 700X I have been using for .380 ACP, 9mm, .38 Spl, .45 ACP, and .45 Colt cast bullet loads. I am a happy camper.

Yeah Bullseye Good stuff, wish I could find some BullsEye-86

last summer I picked up a 3# red can with the green label on it, still sealed for $40.00 :D then when I got home and went to put it away I found two more 1# cans unopened , and a 1/4 full can , after 400 rounds of 45acp it still looks like a 1/4 can ! I think BullEyes reproduces on it's own :what:

Congrats on a great buy. I use Bullseye and Unique for all my handgun reloading.

My LGS had a 1# of Bullseye and also Clay Dot on the shelf today. I can not remember the last time I saw either of those bottles. I am doing OK on pistol and shotgun powder for now. This weekend doing rifle handloading so I fought the urge and left them on the shelf for the next guy.

Its starting to come back! The LGS had titegroup in last month, I picked up a 4 pounder for $75 otd. While this would have been OK for everything I load, I ended up trading to it someone for bullseye- more suited to lead cast. Today I scored big... I found a 8 pounder of HP38. At $180, it was "over priced" but I figured it was a wash in comparison to the cheapest online prices with shipping and hazmat included. While very content with my powder supply, I'll still grab another 8lb of HP or BE if I see it as this current shortage has proved to me that a years worth of ammo and a years worth of components isnt enough... Its not like primers or powder go bad(when stored in normal conditions) nor do they drop any in value. happy camper here! after nearly two years of grabbing a couple pounds of random powders(700x, unique, hp-38, bullseye, titegroup, win231 etc) at a time, I can finally settle down and stop experimenting with powders.
