I'm having trouble mounting a scope on my 25-06 with FN 98 action. The base and the rings are mounted (type unknown). I can't move the scope back far enough to enable me to get the full view in the objective when the rifle is comfortable to shoot. I need a scope with a long tube that has more inches of movement back and forth between the rings. I have found the Bushnell Elite 3200, 5-15X40 has up to 6" ring spacing. Can anyone tell me the measurement forward and rearward of the turret where the rings slide along. This is the best I can explain it without photos.

The Bushnell scope your looking at has 4.3" of eye relieve, so that would help you. I seen a detailed drawing on scopes somewhere, but can't find it:cool:

you can also get extended bases/rings to help the scope fit if you need to.

sorry, no help on your question though.
