Buying a stripped lower

First of all, I live in Mass.

Tomorrow, I'm going to a gun show. In the future I plan on building an AR-15. Can I even buy a stripped lower? If I buy, one can I assemble it in MA?

If I can build one, what restrictions are placed on the gun?

I don't know MA laws, but a stripped lower is a gun. So if its OK for you to buy an AR in MA, then it would be OK to buy a lower; and vice versa. As far as restrictions...just don't build anything you wouldn't be able to buy at the local gun store.
