At least it was his tazer and not a handgun. It's also good that the only one he hurt was himself.
I bet he had a nametag, "Officer Sparky", waiting for him at his locker before he even made it back to the station... 
Although, it does show the usefulness of less-than-lethals in Law Enforcment. An ND with a taser is merely funny, an ND with a firearm is a tragedy.

RE: Usefulness of tazers: yea, it looks like he tripped, he just fell, and immediatly got up. Then again, it's not like he held the button down...but when the juice stops, people always seem to fly back on their feet.
