Any CT residents have a take on the situation re: new CT laws and C&R licensee?

Wondering if it's still legal to receive C&R guns directly, or must they go through an FFL store?

If it's through a store, I see no reason to have a C&R license. A parts discount at an online store wouldn't be enough of an incentive for me.

Very good question. My understanding is that the people who wrote the law don't know what a C+R FFL is, and therefore it is an undefined area until someone goes to court.

Given the media calling two or three guns and a few boxes of ammo an "arsenal," attention to a properly well-rounded C+R collection would make it very hard for a collector to get a fair trial.

Also, given the law abiding nature of a person who went out of their way to get a 03FFL, any raiding "authorities" will deem your home a much softer target than the armed drug dealers in Bridgeport... since they already have your address and will be confident they'll be successful in "getting guns off the streets."

I don't recall a single instance of someone getting State-level weapons charges with the old AWB, that's not to say it didn't happen. Maybe others can expand more on this.
