I have thought about getting a C&R license mainly for the discounts offered by different vendors for parts and supplies. I am not really interested in collecting old guns. Is this really worth the hassle of getting/maintaining a bound book for older guns I may happen to buy to get discounts on gun supplies? How much of a discount do different vendors offer C&R licensees? Thanks.

Just got a set of $120 sights for my 1911 for $90 from Brownell's because of the discount. And I get some discount on almost everything from Midway - usually 10-15%.

Dang... I have had the forms sitting around for 3 months now. I really need to get off my butt and start saving some $$

For 30 bucks you gotta save up? Damn, I shoot up more ammo every range visit than that.

I know that I get a mild discount from the folks at CDNN Sports, among others, because of the FFL003 license. The real benefit, however, is the savings on transfer fees and such when you buy a C&R-eligible gun.
