C&R Purchases in CA

Anyone know how to find out if there are any restrictions on specific C&R handgun purchases from outside of California?
I know from local auctions here that some S&Ws listed as C&R can still be restricted for sale in CA.
Can't find anything on the CA DOJ website specifically for C&R guns, only modern. The local auction sites will let you know in the description if it is not available for sale in CA, but the out of state auction sites usually won't say and leave it to you to figure out.
Any advice is welcome.

If it's verifiable as C&R, and in original condition, then it's C&R. Some of the transfer dealers may want more, but that's not the law.

Wow...I wish I had any kind of answer. I am hopeful someone does. Of course a C&R holder can purchase title 1 C&R guns out of state with their license (most places) on a cash-and-carry basis; anything listed by ATF and/or anything over 50 years old. But the onus is upon the buyer to comply with the laws of the location in which their collection is licensed to be acquired at. I wonder if Cali left some big ambiguity here...? Hope you get an answer.
