Just pulled up Cabella's website and see where they are having a sale on the following:

1851 Navy $189.99
1851 Navy Civilian .44 cal steel frame $199.99
1851 Navy London $249.99

I'm sure it won't be long before they'll be running their fall sales on 1860 Army and 1858 Remmy as well.

Love this time of year!

Those Colt 60's do look pretty beautiful. I don't know if I can resist getting one. That is a pretty slick weapon that has a lot of history in it's creation, you know I love history and I love .44's.

I dunno, maybe it excites me to see a new way to get my BP fix for cheaper, or maybe the ghost of Sam Colt is whispering in my ear everytime I go on the Cabelas website and zoom in real close on the 1860 Colts while drooling.

The last couple days I've been keeping the picture window of the Colt Army from the Cabelas website open in a new window so I can stare at it once and a while. I'm digging Colts lately.

Kinda thinking out loud here, any opinions on Colt Armys compared to the Remington New Model Army? How well does it point?

I wish they'd put the engraved 1851 Navy Hickok model on again for $249.99 like they did a couple of years ago. Didn't have the money then but do now.

Also, like CraigC, I'd like that 1849 Pocket Revolver but can't go that high. I think Dixie Gun Works has them at $295 but even that is too steep for me.

Managed to pick up the 1851 Navy London and an 1858 Remmy shorty last year when they were on sale, but I'm feeling the itch again!

THANKS!!! I just ordered a navy .36...

BTW, if you order before 11:59pm tonight, use the code 82FREE and get free shipping on orders over $150. Ends tonight!

BTW pretty sure the codes are specific to that coupon (for you) and won't work more than once. So if you plan to use it for yourself, never mind. But if you don't, I'll take it...:uhoh:

Just ordered the 1851 steel-framed Navy .36, something I've had a hankerin' for since visiting Northfield, Minnesota this summer and checking out the site of the James/Younger Gang's raid on the First National Bank. Though most of the bad guys were using metallic cartridges by this time, I spied a .36 Navy amongst the recovered weapons in the museum's showcase.

Enablers indeed! I'd convey the sentiments of my wife for helping me spend my hard-earned money, but this is The High Road! :D
