Caldwell Chronograph questions

I just got a Caldwell Precision Chronograph, Great features and reviews. My problem is that I have a Kindle Fire HDX and no android cell phone. Does anyone have any info that will help, I really would like to use my Kindle. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays.

Assuming Amazon doesn't have the Caldwell app online, the basic process would be to root it (get super user access to it), install the Google Play store app, then install the Caldwell app from the Play store. This works because Kindle Fires use a custom version of the Android OS and rooting allows you to sort of "un-customize" it.
Just search "Kindle Fire HDX Play store"
I've rooted 2 out of 3 Android devices I've owned, it's tedious but just follow the directions.

The above sounds like a good way to go but like he said, tedious. I suggest giving Amazon a call and see if they can help. I have the Kindle HDX and it's a good device but when I want to do something "different" with it I call Amazon and they usually have the fix.
