California CPL

I do a lot of business in California and am there almost 2 weeks per month.
I'd like to get my CPL so I can carry there (I live in WA).
Any of you Californians know the stipulations on an out of state resident getting there CPL in Cali?

CA does not give out permits to out of staters.( most states don't)

Well thats lame, WA does as long as your a citizen.

It is, but it isn't...From a logistics stand point, its alot easier for the sheriffs to do the back ground checks.

you can always pull a ted... you know become a LEO in name only, never do any police work, just so you can CCW in all 50 states...

I am unfamiliar with the phrase "pull a ted". Care to elaborate? I live in CA and am going to be taking the required class for my CCW next week. How can you be a LEO in name only. Does that make you a LINO?

Ted Nugent, became a LEO in name only so that he could CC nation wide.

Now I love the fact that ted speaks his mind, but when it comes to CCW, he has lost all creaditablity.


What county do you live in? When I lived in placer county it was cake walk to get my CCW, Sacramento county on the other hand would not renew it.

Tab: You overlooked this question. I too would like to know how it is possible to acquire LEO status "in name only". Where do I apply?
