Can anyone recognize what gun these grips fit? old ivory monogrip for topbreak

I was told they fit some kind of iver johnson.... but I'm not convinced,

I will take more pictures and measurements when they show up (i just bought them).

Thoughts? Speculations?

Your info may well be correct. IJ made target versions of several of its .22 breaktop revolvers and grips similar to those were indeed put on them, though those have the look of home made work. I have no idea what the crosswise hole is for, but perhaps for a home made shoulder stock, or a retaining strap of some sort.

They have the same outline as the optional grips offered on both the Iver Johnson small frame safety and the large frame safety models. But as Jim noted those are not factory ( you probably already know that ), Iver grips of that nature fasten from the bottom. I also have no ideal what that bottom hole is far, another grip screw?

It appears that there was a two screw iver johnson model.... never seen it before, don't know what its called, but pics exist.

Anyone know what to search for when looking for one?

I think I'm going to try to line a presentation case for the pistol with a mix of baby seal fur, maybe some cheetah, etc... (antique hides so it's legal... my understanding is its only illegal to offer endangered animal hides across state lines or in international commerce... I have a buddy who collects such things, and when he hooks me up it won't be across state lines)

Now if only I can scrounge up a couple of uncut conflict diamonds to set into the bullets for that extra special touch.
