Can anyone tell me about the M1 Garand flash hider?

Anyone used these? I was wondering what the pros and cons are using this in place of the gas cylinder lock. Thanks

maybe its just me but i'd keep it as is.

The USGI ones are incredibly expensive ($300+). The copies sold sold these days don't time well (they don't stop near the 6 o'clock position).

The ones that look like a funnel? I don't think they screw on but clamp on. Anything that screws on is aftermarket, imho.

the T-37 Flash supressor was GI issue. They do sell copies for around $50
