Can anyone tell me what model Ruger this is ?

Can anyone tell me what model Ruger this is ? Or how I can find out ?
It was a gift for my 12 year old son from my dad and I know its OLD but I dont know what model it is ?

Looks to be a Ruger Standard model. However, more info would help.

What do the slide markings say?

If you want to pm me the serial number/slide markings I should be able to give you a bit more info on it.

Yep ruger standard.
Actually on rugers website they have a section where you can look up the serial number.

Looks like a standard model. They went from a red background eagle to black when Alex Sturm of the Sturm Ruger name died.

Go to the Ruger web site and you can find a table of serial numbers to determine the year of manufacture.

Mine looks just like yours except the eagle has a white backdrop. According to the Ruger website its a 60's standard model.
