Previously I had a red-dot on my Carbon 15. Works great runs amazing and nothing better at close range.
However somewhere between old eyes and the big 3MOA dot on the red dot its pretty worthless out past 50-75yds. So I decided to put on a 3-9x scope on it. I know that the general rule is don't buy cheap glass. Well in this case I did. I am trying to avoid buying a forward leaning scope mount.
So I set my adjustable stock where I use it and when I mounted the scope the eye relief was off. So I had to move the scope farther forward. This meant that both rings are now behind the scope elevation adjustments. Is this causing a problem? There is no contact between the scope and the hand guards so I think that's ok.
Below are pictures of the mounted scope
