Does anybody know if The Dip will damage or strip off the black melonite finish off a stainless steel part?
long story short: I've been shooting lead, and the piston in my booster housing in no longer moving freely. the booster body has a lot of black carbon and shiny lead inside it, and when I wrenched the piston out of the disassembled housing lead shavings came out too.
I could try and find an ultrasonic cleaner, I could try a scrub brush, etc, but if I could safely put it in the dip with my 22lr baffles, that would be really nice and easy.
