Can someone make sense of this?

While perusing individual state firearm regulations I ran across the following:

Nevada, Clark County, Title 12, Chapter 12.04, Section 12.04.140

Sale of foreign made pistols with ammunition restricted.
"No pistol of foreign make shall be sold with ammunition for the same unless the ammunition is expressly designed for use with such pistol."

Huh?? Is it just too early in the morning for me to understand this or does it make sense to anyone else? Anybody have any idea of what it means?

:) It's Vegas baby! There are more ordinances of a worrisome nature here in Clark County than there should be, by far! As an example you must register any handgun within 24 hours of entering the county, whether you are a new resident or visitor. I know about 250 cowboy shooters that will break this ordinance next month. In Boulder City you must transport all firearms in locked cases and all ammo must be seperately stored in the vehicle. The city of North Las Vegas has an ordinance prohibiting the carrying of a firearm unless for a "legitimate" purpose (not sure who defines legitimate!)
