So I was rummaging through my storage unit and found a magazine that looked an awful lot like the one in this picture that I was able to find. It's the first one in the pic. I do know for sure that #2 and #3 are Marlin .22lr / .22 Magnum mags respectively, as I own both types of rifles. I really just randomly found this mag, and I swear I've seen these mags 1000 times before but I just can't place it!

The only difference between my mag and the one pictured at #1 is that my... "Follower"? - Isn't orange, and doesn't really protrude upwards. It's kind of flat parallel to the mag lips. But the rest is exactly the same. The long/oval cutout, the hole in the same position, etc. Thanks for your help guys!

1 sort of looks like the mag I had in a .22 Marlin 80DL as a kid, but it's been a long, actually very long, time. lol

Agree, a Google search for Marlin 80 magazine shows one that looks just like that one. Looks like it fits the 80, 780, 20, and 25.

The OP has identified #2 and #3 as Marlin.

As for #1, it does not look like any of my vintage Savage, Mossberg, or Remington mags if that helps narrow things down a little?

2 fits my 25N, 3 would be for the 25MN (.22 mag).

I can't tell in the OP's image if the round in question has the release tab visible in Skylerbone image post 7. But it looks like it. I have a 25, and a friend of mine just inherited a much older one (Glenfield-branded) that didn't have its magazine. I had him test it with my magazine (I wasn't at his house; I just brought it to work) and, when he came back the next day and told him it fit, I ordered him two of them.

My original mag for the 80DL as a kid had a flat metal follower, a later replacement mag came with the orange plastic follower as shown.

Yep, 7rd marlin bolt action mag. The original mag has a black metal follower. I got another at a gun show a decade ago, it has the orange follower.

Yep, it appears you guys got it right. Discontinued Marlin .22 bolt action mag. And yes, it does have the release tab in front.

I guess this was just the old-style .22 mag. Awesome, glad you guys were able to help me get to the bottom of this!
