Canik C100 which is a really close clone of the CZ compact except this is an alloy frame compact gun with a safety. Something that CZ does not offer.

Initially it seems pretty well put together. slide/frame/barrel fit are tight. slide cycles smooth. DA pulled at 10# and SA pulled at 4.5#.

Gun comes with two MecGar magazines.

Canik sear on the left, CZ sear on the right
canik324.jpg

Canik trigger on left. CZ 75B trigger is slightly thicker, but fits onto the trigger bar and in the frame.
canik321.jpg

Canik trigger bar. seems to have less tool marks than CZ trigger bar.
canik320.jpg

Canik hammer on the left. hammer pin hole is bigger on the Canik. CZ hammer could be modified to fit Canik frame and hammer pin
canik319.jpg

Canik disconnector vs CZ disconnector
canik318.jpg

Ejector housing. sear and lifter are interlocked to each other. no lifter spring in the assembly
canik317.jpg

hammer pin. hammer pin retaining pin fits into the slot and keep pin from moving.
canik316.jpg

really small ball bearing and spring for safety.
canik315.jpg

Canik slide stop in middle.
canik314.jpg

Only single roll pin to retain firing pin. CZ Custom solid pin does NOT fit.

small parts of the slide

Canik extractor on the left.

ya the full size looks pretty close to my cz 75b. I've been thinking about getting a clone for some time now tho I really like the caliber changeably of the Eaa witness.

Wonder if you could put a cz custom hammer on that?

down to 27oz from 36oz is pretty nice also.

Looks very interesting. Thanks for the detailed photo comparison of all the action parts.

I wish I had a Witness platform gun available to compare also.

OK...trigger job done feels pretty good.
DA is now pulling 7.75# and the SA is pulling 3.5#
no creep or camming in the hammer.

Now I notice a little bit of overtravel in the trigger after the single action letoff.

* also just a note.
trigger pin is a different diameter than the CZ, the mainspring is also a different diameter and length than the full size CZ.

Couple more photos
with a MecGar CZ 16rnd mag with SP01 pad.

Hey Schmeky.

you know..they offer something CZ doesn't- alloy frame, safety
the are put together pretty well. There are some tool marks inside, but nothing that isn't in a CZ, they have some cast parts, but nothing that is too bad.
and they are pretty reasonably priced..cheaper than a CZ.

I would probably buy one because of the alloy frame/safety features.

Thanks for the links. The SFC-100 B looks like something I'd dig, if they import 'em. A Mid-Compact Jericho 941F clone with porting and works with the 10 16rd mags I already have? A cherry on top would be nice...but not necessary

nice, thanks for sharing never heard of it til now. in case you guys didnt know, but cz u.s.a does offer an aluminum alloy frame called the cz p-06 but only in decocking and firing pin block. calibers in 9mm and 40 sw, 3.8" barrel, and everything is interchangeable with the p-01 steel frame series. as a plus cz custom shop can hook you up with a p-06 in .357 sig:cool: in perspective on weight the new cz p-07 duty .40 polymer frame weighs in at 1.7lbs as the p-06 in at 1.82lbs but priced higher than the p-07.

Think one would splitting hairs on the FPS. Never had a Tanfoglio discharge unless I pulled the trigger on one and I've had 7 (5 Witnesses and 2 941s) over the years with a truckload of ammo downrange.

That was actually sarcasm. The Tangfolio FPS is considered superior and doesn't affect the trigger pull. In contrast, the "real" CZ75B FPS detracts from the trigger pull quality and is considered one of the weaknesses of the design. For this reason, some folks seek out pre-Bs/CZ85 Combats because they do not have the FPS.

If Canik improved on CZ's FPS design, it would be a major advantage.

:p I looked it up thinking it was a type of cave formation. No luck. :D

Never really noticed the difference in trigger pulls between the one 75B I had (the little brother received it as a 21st b-day present) and the Tanfoglios as they all feel great. As far as the pre-B's, I just dig the round trigger guard and spur hammer.

Hopefully all those models get imported because those 941F and P-06 clones are sexy.

Regards,
Lucky
