Due to popular demand... OK, well a few of you have requested to see my latest creation at work. I will shoot another to include the cannon, it's reaction to being shot and hopefully a target of around 200 yards. This is a video of 6 oz. cannon powder with a 3" ball weighing in at just under 3#. We're shooting at 3x4 post and and missing it. It's just over 200 yards away. Guess my sights are off a bit. Lots of fun! Hmmm... Dear Moderator, I got a message that I was missing a"security token" and that was the reason for not allowing my attachment. I seem to be much more adroit at cannoning than video attachment. Please advise. Thanks, CANNONMAN

Well, it's under CANNONMAN'S 1ST CANNON VIDEO. I guess if I can build cannons, I can learn how to utilize you tube! Thanks, Moderator.

Very nice! But what was that panting sound at the end of the video? It sounded like either a dog or a fellow cannoneer was very excited! :D

You guys are great!

The "other" sounds at the end were in fact my two best friends. My Wife and my 5 y/o yellow lab, Rocky. He doesn't mind the guns, but some of the cannons have him concerned. I just found out that the night adult shop class where I have been building my cannons may not have an instructor this fall. I have several cannons that are in different stages and I am not sure of what to do. I would love to buy my own lathe and mill but for the size of some of my projects I would not be able to afford the sizes needed. In the mean while. I have gathered the ingredients for my 1st BP manufacturing! I'll keep ya'll informed.

P.s., Thanks for the help with the posting Rojelio!

More comm'n!

I am in New Mexico. Don't really care much for it but!!! I am legally allowed to shoot this and anything else I want with a 10 min. drive from my house. Next video will be at about 45 degrees from the back and side to show the cannon and what it's shooting. You here the roar of the cannon followed by the splat of the ball hitting the cliff all while the smoke is clearing. Really lots of fun!

Actually... I could!

Here in oil field country there exist a myriad highly specialized pipe. Some of the metallurgical properties of this stuff is amazing. There also exist shop equipment on a scale that befuddles the mind. It's a matter of cost and time though. Then there is the problem of BP and shot. Currently I get three shot from 1# of cannon powder and lose 3# of lead each shot. Sure it's worth ever cent. Then there is storage. My collection of cannons takes up almost one bay of the garage. Something of this scale can be done, and I love to do it.
