Just for kicks I went over to the Violence Policy Center website to get myself angry about their propaganda. I was looking at their comparison between pre ban and post ban weapons and I was amazed to see that their pre ban AK 47 is not even an AK 47. Its one of those rimfire look a likes we see out here in California. I do not even think that this gun was in existence before the ban. What a bunch of idiots.

Here’s the Violence Policy Center article

and here is the manufacturer

VPC's page gives an outstanding explanation of exactly how stuped the entire assault weapon ban really is.
the gun industry began to make slight, cosmetic changes to banned weapons to circumvent the law.
For the most part (excluding operating system), all semi-automatic rifles are the same except for "cosmetic". You can take the wood off a rifle, install the black plastic and scare the antis with almost anything.

Myself and a couple other webtypes sorta made an unannounced visit to another group of shooters that frequent the same boards as us three.

Sorta long trip for me but well worth it.
These yahoos are of course experts on the web
First yahoo walks up an ID`s a FAL as a Vepr, then points to my Dissapator and calls it an M4gry
Next yahoo is shooting at rocks 10 feet in front of him with an SKS
No firing line and many people wandering in front of what we thought as an imaginary firing line

and we got pics to prove it all:)
OK, so maybe it was 15 feet

lol

The ak-47 was never a assault weapon besides the 30 round clip in the assault weapons ban eyes.

edited: click on for assault weapons on our streets.

What I think is humorous is the fact that the pre-bans all have smaller magazines than the post-bans, except for the Match Target.
