Remember the LEO that threatened to execute the CCW holder and was eventually fired? The city council has started a bounty to anyone that sees and reports a firearm to the cops.

From the article....

"Canton City Council this week allocated $20,000 to a gun bounty program. This isn't a gun buy-back, the silly security-theater tactic local politicians often use to show they're "doing something" about crime. Canton's gun bounty plan descends to a new abyss of asininity: Most of the $20,000 will be paid as $100 rewards to anonymous informants whose tips enable police to confiscate illegally carried guns....."

Folks in OH need to figure out a way to game the system. For instance, get a bunch of worthless clunkers and already-stripped "parts guns" and open-carry them in Canton and turn each other in for the $100 until the $20000 is depleted.

It depends on how the clowns deal with the alleged "illegal carrier". I suspect it's "forfeit the gun and we won't press charges". (that opens things up for some interesting 5th Amendment "takings clause" and due process lawsuits.)
