I purchased some remington #10 caps for my pietta remmie, because 11's were way to loose...but to my suprize, so were the 10's! Also, the cones have only been fired a couple of times, and are allready showing signs of deformation. I wonder if the stainless ones for the remmies are a little tougher...they sell'em at cabelas besides the regular cones:evil:
 
My Pietta's hammer was faced at a different angle than it should have been to hit the nipples squarely. Those nipples were being battered at their top edge and hadn't ever been dry fired. I changed the hammer face angle, replaced the nipples with Ampco nipples from Dixie, and had no further problems. The Remington #10s fit them perfectly.
