Caracal

I have been thinking of purchasing a striker fired poly. Will most likely get a LEO trade Glock ($$$ considerations)

However I like kind of off-beat stuff and have had my eye on the Caracal. I believe this gun is made in the middle east and assembled in Germany. Have read some very good reviews. Seems to be retailing in the $450-$500 range.

Don't really need a striker, just want one. Sarco has like NIB Gen 2 Glock 17 with 2 mags and case in this same price range.

Opinions, feedback??

I have a Caracal F now and will have a Caracal C next week.

Been a Glock guy for a long time and recently decided I wanted to try some new guns.

Bought the Caracal F for $395 from Long Mountain Outfitters, same place and price i'm getting the C from.

This week I picked up a M&P 9mm and I actually still prefer the Caracal based solely on ergonomics. Hope to fire them side by side next week, want to wait for the C to show up.

I will be comparing the following guns:

Caracal F
Caracal C
Glock 17
Glock 19Gen4
S&W M&P 9mm

Caracal quality is top shelf--right up there with H&K in terms of finish.

For my Caracal C, the ergos are very good--the gun sits solidly and low in the hand and points like magic. The muzzle flip ff this design is almost nothing.

Function has been 100% so far (over 500 rounds).

Personally, I think that anyone who does not pick up one of these pistols for the $395 is not right in the head

you have to call them up. easy guys to talk to and deal with.
