I read that a lot of reloaders use NuFinish to make their brass shinier. I've been to Wally World, and iirc have seen at least 3 products with the designation "NuFinish". Confused! Which of the products is the specific one everybody uses? Is it a liquid or something else?
Thanx!

At some specific point in the annals of reloading history there was one guy that added a car polish to his tumbling media and by happenstance it was NuFinish. Probably had it in a cabinet in his garage. He had good results so he told a friend, who told a friend, who told a friend and so on.

It could have just as easily have been Turtle Wax or Meguiers, but it wasn’t and now countless reloaders swear by NuFinish.

I hope that “ground zero” reloader had the foresight to buy some stock in the company ;)

I use Cabela's polish which is made by Berry's. I still have some from when I bought my tumbler from Cabelas 5 years ago. I don't have any complaints, but I've been wanting to try NuFinish, just to see if it's better.

Why not skip all that and start out wet tumbling with pins...
You are going to end up there anyways, once you realize that cleans the de-primed primer pocket squeaky clean.

That primer smooge is what cruds up your press and causes most/all loading problems (for me).
You can start out with a cheap rock tumbler and a small bag of Amazon pins.
This under $10 tumbler:

Nothing against wet tumbling but you are not skipping anything with dry tumbling vs wet tumbling.

Dry tumbling:

Come home from the range
Dump brass in tumbler.
Turn switch on.
Sift brass from media

Wet tumbling:

Mix chemicals.
Dump brass in the wet tumbler
Turn switch on.
Sift.
Dry.
Dispose of the chemicals.

No bad choices here but I prefer to dry tumble.

Excellent points. The only difference between the two of course is with one you've just moved dirt around while the other you've actually cleaned the cases.

Clean primer pockets is the big reason I wet tumble. I just have less problems when I clean my brass that way.

I'm convinced it is one of the reasons why I don't seem to have problems with the "metric" or troublesome brands.

Me too but simply because I like em clean. I also like the case's interior cleaned well. If performance is also increased that's a plus.
