I found a Norinco coach gun at the shop today and decided for $200 it would be something fun.

Now I'm wondering what kind of cases people use for these. Something of the take-down variety, or something to hold it while it's together? A quick search didn't yield anything made specifically for short barreled shotguns.

Do a google search for a leg of mutton leather gun case. Had one for a sweet little side by side 20 gauge and made for nice compact way to store or transport a double barrel shogun.

I posted some info in another thread recently.

I have a SxS shot gun that I've been know to break down, wrap in a towel, and put in this. It travels well. $10. Zips closed. Has handles on the ends. I was wanting someting nondescript for travelling (driving / car to hotel room)

Search for "rope bag" for similar such as this (below) that has shoulder straps(but I don't like the type of closure it has).

Generally, rope bags tend to be a thinner and softer material than tactical molle strap riddled cases etc so keep that in mind. But the 1st seems like it would do what your looking for.

Or.... something else I'm working on for the SxS. This one has a little pouch on the outside.

Also ukulele cases come in different lengths and have some padding built in. I plan on still wrapping it in a towel.

20 bucks gets you a discrete carrying method for the take-down double guns-I keep a stoeger coach gun, 20 rounds of buck, 10 slugs, an older Taurus .357(the nicer ones), 50 rounds of soft-point .357, a few Spydercos, and some other odds and ends for just-in-case scenarios. When I drove cross country with the wife it was our carry-in hotel security bag for the 4 stops we made. Was a Gen 2 Glock 19 instead of the Taurus then...

LOL, I just read the title, "case for a coach gun", and I was thinking along the lines, "making a case for buying/owning a coach gun, versus more modern weaponry" ! (hey, it was a reasonable supposition :D ).
