I just received my order of 200 cases of Nosler 6.5 Creedmoor brass. I measured a couple dozen of them and they are very uniform at 1.920"...I'll measure them all before loading, but here's my question. I reviewed the Sierra site to research loads and the recommended case length dimension is the same, 1.920". In another load manual I see the "trim length" is 1.910". The Sierra web page didn't mention trim length. For most of my other cartridges, I don't trim them until they exceed the max case length; then I trim to "trim length'. I don't trim until I have a bunch so I can maintain uniformity. Can you guys see any problem with loading them now at 1.920"?

Normally trimming is not needed till it's 1.930" (+0.010" over spec). Most chambers are longer, match chambers are tighter. I keep all mine at 1.920", trim every cycle if needed with a drill mounted 3 way trimmer.

I ran all the new brass through the resizing die and measured after; all perfect at 1.920. I'll of course measure it after shooting the first time, but I'll go ahead with loading. I have a Lyman power trimmer, so it is manageable; my least favorite task, but manageable. This is my first 6.5 CM so I want to do it right.
