I have a Beretta Tomcat which I originally bought for my wife. She hated it (She now has a S&W model 60, which she really likes). Lately I've been thinking of selling or trading the Tomcat for a Beretta Bobcat. I hate to start another cat fight, but who would like to weigh in on the relative merits of these two pistols?

I have had one of each. Each has been remarkably unreliable -- spectacularly so, in fact. Sad to say, the Tomcat is on my all-time worst-gun-ever list; the Bobcat runs it a close second. I know that there are fans of both guns models; I am not among them -- but god bless them, everyone. My advice: Unload the Tomcat to a buyer who understands exactly what he is getting a get yourself a handgun that will provide you with years of quality service. A Walther PPS comes quickly to mind.
