anyone use one currently. I have a guy looking to sell his, it has the 1911 grip on the frame and man does it point nicer than any other Glock or XD Ive ever held. I like the extra weight of the gun w/ the steel frame. So before I decide if I buy it or not does anyone on this forum have one that can give me their thoughts or opinions.

Thanks in advance
Tom

Does it really have a 1911-type grip? The photos I've seen all just have a flat backstrap and people say 'Look-it's got the 1911 grip angle!' Makes me wonder...

A lot of one line responses:

he's selling it because his department wont let him carry a "modified weapon"

Im not getting a 1911 because I think they are fine well designed handguns, but I already have a Glock, and 1911's cost a lot more than the frame.

The flat backstrap make the gun feel much like a 1911

Have I answered all of your questions?

Now, does anyone else out there have any experience with this setup?

I called my friend who has one. He doesn't like it at all. Complains that it's everything that a Glock shouldn't be and regrets buying it. But if you like it and it works for you, go ahead and get it.

Thanks Dan, I havent decided yet what I want to do, its an interesting idea just like the Glock was when it was 1st introduced. I guess I hafta figure out what the advantage is if there is one

I am looking at getting one for my Glock 19. It seems it combines all the things I like in a handgun; Steel frame, 1911 ergonomics, Glock simplicity. Seems like I can't go wrong. Its been awhile since this thread was on the front page. Anybody had anymore experience with this setup since?
