I have determined that my Marlin XL7C in 25-06 shoots much better with an old box of CCI LR benchrest primers than with Federal magnum match.
Locally right now my only choices of LR primers are CCI and Winchester and no match types.
I found some match primers at some suppliers but the shipping and haz-mat fees kick the price up to around $80/1000.
Which brand should I get, I want to get 1000 and want to buy the best one the first time.
Now, I know each gun is unique, but I am looking for the one you have had the best luck with.
Any opinions?

I have not used benchrest primers with my .25-06, because I don't have any. I have used Win. and Rem. with good results and like the Winchester better.

As you stated, all guns are unique individuals. The only way to find out what shoots best in your gun is to try them in your gun.

WYcoyote, I bought the Remington primers awhile back when the selection was getting very poor, and they work pretty well. I got the Winchester primers last year and they work great in my .30-06, .270, .25-06, and .22-250 but I don't know if there is really that much difference, because both brands have not failed me and my loads are pretty good in both.

I do not have any CCI primers in LR, but since selection in my area is getting better, I will try them in the future. I would like to pick up some Federal LR match pimers if I can find some and at a decent price.

I shoot lots of CCI SR primers in AR loads, because I bought a bunch from Powder Valley before they started running out. They work well for that application.

Winchester 8 1/2's and 8 1/2m's haven't yielded me the highest numbers on my chrono though they both perform extremely reliably over a wide array of conditions during my testing.

I don't load for the 25-06 but I do a lot of 30-06 loading. Over the past year or so I've used both CCI and Win LRP and I can't tell the difference between the two. I suggest you buy either depending on price and availability and you won't be disappointed with either. I don't think the additional price for BR or Match primers is justified when shooting a 30-06 or a 25-06. (IMO of course)
